Shalimar B Photography

Shalimar B Photography

When Shalimar sent me her first email, she had a little bit of everything on her site: families, newborns, maternity, etc. But she didn’t have the one thing she really wanted: high school seniors.

She still wanted to photograph families, but the senior side of her business was growing and she was rebranding to accommodate it. So we hatched a plan to speak to two different audiences: moms of seniors and moms of babies. We found a theme though to bring it all together …

OUR FOCUS WORD FOR THIS PROJECT WAS

proof

WHY WE CHOSE THAT WORD …

Shalimar has all types of beautiful emotions about photographing. She just didn’t know how to translate them into words on the page. Levi, one of our Green Chair Stories writers, chatted with both her and her clients. Through those conversations, we determined that what what everyone was after was proof. Proof that they did it. They raised the babies. They got them through high school. They just wanted proof of how much love was there the whole time. Shalimar’s photos are just that.

WHAT WE LOVED ABOUT THIS PROJECT

One of Levi’s strengths is finding the common thread. He’s able to take ideas (or audiences in this case) that seem unrelated and find the thread that ties them. He was perfect for this project because Shalimar couldn’t see how her audiences were the same. He talked to her past clients, read through every review that anyone has ever left her, and kept searching until he found the perfect message to speak to both groups of people. The result was copy that makes moms of all ages feel understood and a site that Shalimar adores. Win/win.

WHAT SHALIMAR LOVED ABOUT WORKING WITH US

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Thanks again and the reviews on the website have been amazing!!! I am absolutely in love with it – especially the copy!!!”

Also? It takes a village. This project came together with the help of  Andrea Fowler Design on branding and web development. (Isn’t it all so pretty?!)
