The second I read Stef’s email, I couldn’t wait to meet her family. She had two boys, Salinger and Whitman. And anyone who picks names like that has to be amazing.
They did not disappoint. Sal was one of the most animated toddlers I’ve ever met in my life. He leaves no question about how he is feeling, which 9 times out of 10 is pure elation. It was so easy to see where his personality comes from—Stef and Nick both have huge smiles and a natural joy.
Whit, being a sleepy newborn, was less pumped than Sal for the photo shoot and definitely more skeptical. But he was still adorable. I’m so happy we did it when he was this little. This is such a sweet time in their family’s life. The end of maternity leave, the last moments of quiet before life picks up again. They looked like a family who had spent weeks resting together and falling into a new rhythm of life. And it looked good on them!
