If there is one thing I’m consistently envious of in other people, it’s freckles. I think they are just about the cutest thing in the world and I always wish I had them.

These two kids had the most adorable freckles I’ve ever seen and I was literally squealing while editing the photos because of them.

I was so glad Amy chose Union Station for their shoot because the space totally reflected their family’s whole vibe—hip and modern. The kids were so playful and inventive. They were suggesting where they thought the good spots were for photos and to be honest, their ideas were great. Those suggestions turned out to be some of my favorite photos from the session! I will always pay attention to what kids are saying in a session because a) it means they’re into it and b) whatever they are saying is probably what is going to keep them engaged.

This was so true for Gavin and Riley. They were champs. We walked a ton and I snapped a lot of photos of them, but they smiled through it. I might even go as far to say that they had fun!

Thank you, Todd and Amy for inviting me to photograph you guys. I had a great time and hope to see you all again soon!
