Lindsay found me through the wonderful Snow family so I knew that I was meeting some good people when I got to their house for their photo shoot.
I photograph a lot of children. A lot. And most do pretty well. But they are still very wary of me and my camera. They take a little while to warm up and make me work for their smiles. But not these two kiddos! Asher was straight cheesin’ from the second I got there. (Lindsay and Drew … have you ever thought about a little child modeling?) He was cracking me up and I can’t imagine that his cheeks weren’t sore from smiling so hard the whole time.
Though Charlotte wasn’t necessarily smiling for my sake, her general demeanor is so sweet and so tender that she just wore a sheepish little grin the entire time. I couldn’t get enough of her!
They were all so laid-back; they made it feel like I was just there to hang out. I love it when my work hours feel like the rest of my life. They were the kind of people I wanted to have dinner with. On my way out the door, Drew handed me a bottle of wine from his winery in California. And let me say, it was some of my very favorite.
It was through researching this wine that I discovered Drew is also a Fire Lieutenant. How do I spend 90 minutes with people and only discover these things after the fact? Probably because they were so incredibly down to earth and clearly humble. I’m googling all my impressive clients from now on before I photograph them.
Regardless of what they do for a living, these two are raising some of the sweetest kids and I had so much fun hanging with all of them. Seriously Lindsay, this is my public invitation to hang out. You guys are the best!
